Driver Coaching

Personalised 1-to-1 coaching from a professional race car driver. We use data, video, and structured methodology to develop faster, smarter racers at every level.

Every coaching session at LOR Racing is tailored to the individual driver. Whether you've never sat in a kart before or you're chasing tenths in a championship battle, we start by understanding your goals and build a programme around them. Sessions are led by founder Melvin Moh — a professional GT race driver, karting champion, and AMG Driving Academy instructor with over a decade of competitive experience.

What a session Looks LIke

Pre-session briefing

We review your objectives, discuss the track layout, and set specific goals for the session. If you've driven before, we'll look at any previous data or video to identify focus areas.

On-track coaching

Real-time trackside observation with radio communication during your sessions. We focus on brake markers, racing lines, throttle application, corner entry and exit technique, and race-specific skills like defending and overtaking.

Data and video review

Corner-by-corner analysis of your lap data — braking traces, throttle input, sector times, and speed comparisons. Onboard video overlay to visually identify where time is being lost and what adjustments will make the biggest difference.

Development plan

Written notes summarising what we worked on, specific drills to practice before your next session, and a clear development roadmap. We track your progress over time so every session builds on the last.

Who It's For

We coach drivers from age 7 upwards, across all competitive karting classes. There's no minimum experience level — the programme adapts to wherever you are in your racing journey.

Complete Beginners

Never raced before? We start with the fundamentals — correct seating position, smooth steering inputs, basic racing line, and building confidence on track. Many of our beginners are children aged 7–12 whose parents are exploring karting for the first time. We'll help you understand the sport, choose the right equipment, and take your first laps safely.

Ages 7+ · No experience needed · Own kart not required for first session

Club and Competitive
Racers

Already racing but want to improve? We focus on advanced race craft — trail braking, overtaking strategy, tyre management, qualifying techniques, and extracting more from your current setup. Data analysis becomes the primary tool at this level, helping you find time you didn't know you were leaving on the table.

Championship Contenders

Targeting national or regional championships? We provide a complete programme — advanced data-driven coaching, mental preparation, race weekend strategy, and physical conditioning advice. This level includes full integration with our race team services for championship campaigns at Iame Series Asia, and other regional championships.
